8 each found Covid+ve in Karimganj & Hailakandi on Thursday

Jan. 6: On Thursday, Hailakandi registered 08 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 26 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 647 RAT tests and 148 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,963 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,510 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 02 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Wednesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 4,392 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

There was a sharp rise in the number of Covid patients in Karimganj district. Karimganj registered 08 fresh COVID case on Thursday. The district has currently 54 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged on Thursday. 1,053 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 21 persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Wednesday.
