7,929 found Covid +ve in Assam, 1,960 discharged & deaths registered on Thursday

Jan. 20: On Thursday, out of 61,359 tests, 7,929 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,78,057. The positivity rate in the state is 12.92 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 1,716 positive cases during the day. Further, on Thursday, 12 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,260. The recovery rate is 92.81 percent. Also, 1,960 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 41,118 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 8,339 persons tested positive in Assam and 15 deaths were registered.
