764 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, 3 deaths & active cases 4,409 in the state

July 18: On Monday, out of 7,301 tests, 764 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,30,907. The positivity rate in the state is 10.46. percent. Out of the 764 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Goalpara (65), Baksa (61), Dibrugarh (59) and Kamrup Metro (59). Further, 08 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Monday.

Further, on Monday, 03 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Darrang, Golaghat & Jorhat. The death toll in the state stands at 6,651. The recovery rate is 98.30 percent. 43 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,18.495 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 4,409 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Sunday, 149 persons tested positive in Assam and 03 deaths were registered.
