720 found Covid +ve in Assam on Thursday, 2 deaths & active cases 5,325 in the state

July 21: On Thursday, out of 6,651 tests, 720 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,33,212. The positivity rate in the state is 10.83. percent. Out of the 720 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Goalpara (63), Dibrugarh (54), Baksa (51), Biswanath (50) and Kamrup Metro (50). Further, 26 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Thursday.

Further, on Thursday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Darrang and Udalguri. The death toll in the state stands at 6,658. The recovery rate is 98.18 percent. 636 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,19,877 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,325 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 830 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
