718 active cases: Indoor Stadium at Brojendra Road in Karimganj converted as Covid Care Centre

May 11: Due to surge in COVID-19 cases, the Karimganj district administration has converted the Indoor Stadium situated at Brojendra Road as COVID Care Centre. An order to this effect was issued by District Magistrate cum Chairman, DDMA, Anbamuthan MP on Tuesday. Circle Officer, Karimganj Sadar Revenue Circle has been made the overall in-charge of the centre. In the order, Joint Director, Health Services has been directed to depute a Nodal Officer not below the rank of M&HO I and also to arrange medical, para medical and other support staff for proper functioning of the COVID Care Centre.

Karimganj reported 110 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 5,424. The district has altogether 718 active COVID-19 cases.
