7-point Mantra announced by PM Modi to fight coronavirus
April 14: India has extended its nationwide virus lockdown of 1.3 billion citizens until May 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a n address to the nation on Tuesday. Regions showing improvement in containing the virus spread up to April 20 may see some relaxation for essential activities, but that will also come with conditions, Modi said.
Emphasising the importance of the next one week in the fight against coronavirus, he appealed to all the countrymen to stop the spread of the Covid-19 disease to newer areas. While the lockdown will continue till May 3, PM Modi requested citizens to follow seven things mentioned below:
- Take care of elders in the house
- Maintain social distancing, use homemade masks
- Use guidelines from Ayush to increase immunity
- Use Aarogya Setu mobile App
- Help the poor families
- Help your colleagues, do not fire employees
- Respect and celebrate our heroes – doctors, nurses, healthcare workers
“All districts, localities, states will be closely monitored till April and it will be seen how strictly norms are being implemented. The states that do not let the number of hotspots increase, the states that pass the ‘Agni Pariksha,’ there may be some relaxation, with certain conditions. If lockdown norms are violated, however, then all permissions will be withdrawn. The government will issue detailed guidelines by Wednesday,” the PM said.
