7 found Covid-19 Positive in Cachar on 16 October
Active cases 34 in Cachar, 5 discharged on Saturday
Oct. 17: On Saturday, 07 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 34. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 05 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 01 person was detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 1,395 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 05 persons were found positive, whereas 02 were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,151 whereas during this phase, 19,901 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 34 active patients:
08 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
00 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
20 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 15 October to 5 PM on 16 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 16 October, there were 04 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 03 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 01 Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged.
