7 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Thursday

Oct. 21: A total of 07 new case of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Thursday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,275 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 07 persons weres found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 05 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Wednesday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 20 October to 5 PM on 21 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 21 October, there were 14 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 05 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and none of them were discharged.
