7-day vaccination schedule for students between 15-18 years of 168 schools in Cachar district released

Jan. 1: With the go ahead signal provided by ICMR, Assam government has also fully prepared itself to provide Covid vaccines to those in the age group of 15 to 18 years. The vaccine drive will begin from 3 January, 2022. Students of 168 government schools will be initially provided the jab, which will later on be extended to students of private institutions. The district health department has prepared a detailed schedule in this connection. A total of 56,630 doses of vaccine will be administered in this phase, which include students of Class IX, X, XII and XII.

Those in the age group of 15 to 18 years will be administered Covaxin. They can avail the 2nd dose after 28 to 42 days. Those who were born in 2007 or before are eligible for vaccination.
