672 found Covid +ve in Assam on Saturday, 2 deaths & active cases 3,896 in the state

July 16: On Saturday, out of 6,400 tests, 672 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,29,994. The positivity rate in the state is 10.50. percent. Out of the 672 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Baksa (67), Kamrup Metro (62), Dibrugarh (55) and Dhubri (51). Further, 24 persons were found positive in Cachar district on Saturday.

Further, on Saturday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Charaideo & Karbi Anglong. The death toll in the state stands at 6,645. The recovery rate is 98.37 percent. 208 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,18.101 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 3,896 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 706 persons tested positive in Assam and 01 death was registered.
