639 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 06 deaths registered
Active cases 5,268 in the state
April 18: On Sunday, out of 23,300 tests, 639 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,24,455. The positivity rate in the state is 2.74 percent. At present, there are 5,268 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 354 cases during the day.
On Sunday, 159 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,705, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.55%.

Further, during the day, 06 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro, Barpeta, Dhemaji, Morigaon, Tinsukia and Cachar. The death tally of the state stands at 1,135.
