636 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 556 discharged & 11 deaths registered
There are 5,068 active Covid cases in Assam
Sept. 6: On Monday, out of 91,028 tests, 636 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,92,616. The positivity rate in the state is 0.70 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 124 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 11 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,710. The recovery rate is 97.95 percent.
It needs mention here that on Sunday, 321 persons tested positive in Assam and 06 deaths were registered.
On Monday, 556 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,80,491patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. At present, there are 5,068 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 11 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 11 deceased, 02 of them are from Dibrugarh; 01 each from Baksha, Golaghat, Hojai, Jorhat, Kokhrajhar, Lakhimpur & Morigaon. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,710.
