6 tests +ve in Cachar on Friday, tally reaches 11,412

Jan. 15: On Friday, a total of 06 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cachar. During the day, a total of 383 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, 05 persons were found positive, whereas 01 of them were  detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Friday night.

With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 11,412.  Further, a total of 11,336 patients were discharged in the district as of now. Cachar registered a total of 38 COVID-19 deaths till now. At present, there are 38 active cases in the district. It needs mention here that 10 persons were found positive in Cachar on Thursday.

Further, Dr. Ibrahim Ali also informed along with the rest of the country, COVID-19 vaccination drive will begin in Cachar district also on 16 January, 2021. During the day, the Covid vaccine will be administered among the Health Care Workers of SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar (SMDCH) and Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH).
