583 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Monday

April 12: On Monday, out of 1,02,182 tests, 583 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,20,893. The positivity rate in the state is 0.57 percent. At present, there are 2,387 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 193 cases during the day.

On Monday, 98 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,041, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 97.80%.

Further, during the day, none died in Assam due to COVID-19. The death tally of the state stands at 1,118.
