573 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 04 deaths registered

April 16: On Friday, out of 32,421 tests, 573 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,22,940. The positivity rate in the state is 1.77 percent. At present, there are 4,069 active cases in the state. Kamrup (M) district recorded 245 cases during the day.

On Friday, 113 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,16,397, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 97.07%.

Further, during the day, 04 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro, Nagaon, Lakhimpur and Karimganj. The death tally of the state stands at 1,127.
