568 new +ve cases recorded in Assam on Thursday, state tally rises to 14,600

July 9: On Thursday, Assam recorded a total of 568 new COVID-19 positive cases from across the state, which is quite less in comparison with the numbers reached by the state during the past few days. Out of the new 568 positive patients, 355 of them are from Guwahati alone. With this, the state tally has now reached 14,600, out of which, 5423 are active cases. Thursday also recorded death of 5 more COVID patients, taking the total death tally to 27. Further, 421 patients were also released during the day.

Sharing this information, State Heath Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 568 new #COVID19 patients recorded in Assam today, with 355 patients from Guwahati City alone. I advise Ghy people not to panic & take proper care.”
