55 tests Covid +ve in Karimganj on Saturday, 45 discharged & 1 death registered
The district has currently 831 active COVID-19 cases
June 26: Karimganj registered 55 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday. The district has currently 831 active COVID-19 cases, while 45 patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Saturday. 4,686 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 50 positive cases were detected in Karimganj on Friday.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 25 June to 5 PM on 26 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 01 is from Karimganj district, 01 from Cachar and 01 from Hailakandi district. The deceased from Karimganj was identified as:
- Radhapati Lohar (65) from Loairpowa in Karimganj district was admitted at SMCH on 24 June. He, however, passed away at 6.45 PM on 25 June.
