55 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Monday
July 12: A total of 55 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Monday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 9,515 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 55 were found positive, whereas till 6 PM, the RT-PCR test report were not made available. It needs mention here that 46 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Sunday.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 11 July to 5 PM on 12 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 12 July, there were 94 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 49 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 45 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 62 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 14 of them were discharged.
