5 students from Hailakandi selected for Inspire award by Ministry of Science & Technology
July 2: Barak Valley is often referred to as the storehouse of talents. Inspite of several constraints, youth of this valley have always been able to carve a niche for themselves in the national scenario. It’s indeed a matter of pride for this valley that 5 students from Hailakandi have been selected for Inspire Award. Each one of them will get Rs.10000 from Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
The 5 talented students of Hailakandi district of Assam who got the award are Lovely Begum Tapadar, Nazmin Sultana Begum, Firuza Khanam Laskar, Nazima Khanam Laskar and Jaiyabur Rahman Barbhuiya. They all are students of Iswar Chandra M.C. High School, Hailakandi. They have received this award for preparation of science project/model and to participate in the District Level Exhibition and Project Competitions to be organised by the District Education Authority.
Taking to social media, J.Keerthi, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi wrote, “We congratulate all the students, their mentor teacher Mr. Ikbal and the Headmaster Mr. Ali for their praiseworthy work in bringing laurel for the whole district. The district is proud of them.”
