5 persons nabbed by Cachar Police in 2 separate incidents of gambling & liquor smuggling

July 20: The new OC of Dholai Police Station, Manoj Pathak seems to be on the alert always as he has been successful in nabbing criminals associated with various types of crimes. On Wednesday, based on secret information, OC Dholai Police Station along with his staff intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No AS 11 DC 6263 and seized 55 cartons of Liquor (IMFL) and also apprehended two persons. Further investigation into the matter is going on.

In another incident during the day, based on an information, OC Dholai Police Station and staff arrested three gamblers and bookies. These 3 were identified as: Sanatomba Singh (52) S/O Lt. Lamba Singh of Narsingpur; Nilo Chandra Singh, (31), S/O Sri Lala Singh of Natun Bazar and Subir Nath, (43), S/O Lt. Sunil Nath of Narsingpur. Further investigation is going on.
