5 COVID-19 patients discharged, 22 active cases now in Assam
May 11: After a couple of days, some good news coming in from the COVID-19 front. A total of 5 coronavirus patients from Bongaigaon, who were undergoing treatment at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati were discharged on Monday. That means, at present, out of the 64 cases in Assam, 39 were discharged and there are only 22 active cases in the state.

Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Glad to share that 5 #COVID19 patients of Bongaingaon, who were admitted at MMCH, are discharged today. Total discharged patients are 39 now. So far, 64 total cases in Assam, while active cases are 22, as one person who had tested positive here had left for Bihar.”
