4511 primary teachers given appointment letters; 30,000 more teachers to be appointed on Feb
Jan. 30: In a ceremony held at Khanapara Veterinary field, Guwahati on Saturday, 4511 primary teachers given appointment letters by State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in presence of Bhabesh Kalita and Jogen Mohan. “Today we have regularised the jobs of these teachers who were left by the erstwhile Congress and AGP government at the mercy of none.

Taking to his twitter handle, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “My heartiest congratulations to 4511 primary teachers who received their appointment letters from me, @Bhabesh_KalitaR & @JogenMohan at Khanapara. We’re certain that you will give your finest to make education delivery qualitatively superior to ensure stronger future generation.” Teachers from 18 districts have received the appointment letters during the day.

Speaking during the occasion, the education minister said that 30,000 teachers will be appointed in Assam on February 5. This will be the highest ever appointment process in the state after the TET appointment. The appointment process in the state has been transparent since 2011 and 1 lakh teachers have been appointment during his tenure, asserted the minister.
