406 gram heroine seized, 5 arrested from 2 vehicles in Sonabarighat

way2barak, Jan 6: Based on source input, an anti narcotics operation was conducted at Sonabarighat bypass area in Silchar-Aizawl Road. One Bolero pickup bearing reg no- As10BC0616 and one Hyundai Venue reg no- AS10J0676 was intercepted led to recovery of 40 Box Suspected Heroin, Net weight -406 grams, amounting to Rs. 2 crore, from the secret chamber of the Bolero pickup.

Five persons apprehended in this regard :

1.Kamrul Islam Age 23 yrs

R/O Nilambazar, Rupargul , Sribhumi.

2.Halim Uddin Age 25 yrs

S/O Manik Uddin

R/O Kutkuna , Nilambazar, Sribhumi.

3. Hmun pui Age 50 yrs

S/O T K Kap

R/O Zema bawk, Aizawl, Mizoram.

4.Sarmina Parbin Age 22 yrs

W/O Halim Uddin

R/O Kutkuna , Nilambazar, Sribhumi,

5. Lalthanpui Age 41 yrs

W/O Lal Liangthana

R/O Champai, Mizoram.

SP Cachar Partha Pratim Das informs that the vehicle was coming from Champai district of Mizoram. Legal action initiated to find out the forward and backward linkages.
