4 news cases in Bongaigaon, Himanta holds review meeting with ministers, DC & SP

April 30: After 4 persons were detected coronavirus positive at Bongaigaon district of Assam, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma went to Bongaigaon and held a review meeting at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon. The meeting was attended by ministers Pijush Hazarika, Chandan Brahma and Phani Bhusan Choudhury. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Commissioner and Police Superintendent of the district. Discussion was held on the prevailing COVID-19 situation and measures being taken for screening besides preparedness for quarantine & treatment.

Taking to his twitter handle, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Chaired a review meeting at Bongaingaon DC office along with Ministers @Pijush_hazarika, Chandan Brahma & Phani Bhusan Choudhury with DC & SP to discuss situation on #COVID19.”

Earlier during the day, four more COVID-19 cases were reported from Bongaigaon. The number of #COVID19 patients in Assam now stands at 41. Out of 41 total cases, 29 persons were already discharged, while 1 died in the state. At present, there are 11 active cases undergoing treatment in different hospitals of the state.
