4 new corona cases detected on Thursday; tally rises to 3,309 in Hailakandi
Oct. 29: Four fresh COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from South Assam’s Hailakandi district on Thursday, taking the total tally to 3,309. Health authorities here disclosed that of the four positive cases, two have been detected under RAT. Altogether 382 swab samples were taken on Thursday out of which 53 are under RT-PCR and 331 under RAT.
Altogether 1,919 cases have been found positive under RAT with over 50 per cent without travel history. 3,272 persons on being cured have been discharged from hospitals.The number of active cases is 14. Nine COVID-19 positive patients have breathed their last at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. 14 deaths at SMC&H have been declared as ‘non-COVID’ by the State level Death Audit Board. Six COVID-19 asymptomatic persons are under home isolation.
Of the 28,707 RT-PCR samples taken, 26,287 have tested negative. Swab results of 99 persons are awaited. Altogether 1,01,812 swab samples were taken out of which 28,707 are under RT-PCR and 73,156 under RAT.
