4 more students of Assam evacuated from Ukraine
March 5: The ‘Operation Ganga’ launched by the Government of India in evacuating its citizens from Ukraine is going on in full swing. On Saturday, four more students of Assam who were stuck in Ukraine were safely brought back to New Delhi. At the airport, they were recieved by Assam Bhawan officials. The state government will arrange their travel to Guwahati. The 4 who have been evacuated are: Animesh Das, Mahmadul Hasan, Haris Khan & Swastic Raj.
Taking to his twitter handle on Saturday, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “The untiring efforts of MEA under #OpGanga bear fruit as 4 students from Assam – Animesh Das, Mahmadul Hasan, Haris Khan & Swastic Raj – reach Delhi safely, taking the total no. of evacuees to 89. They were received by Assam Bhawan officials. Their travel to Ghy will be arranged.”
