4 found Covid-19 Positive in Cachar on 9 October

Oct. 9: On Saturday, a total of 04 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 43. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 01 patient was discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 08 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,765 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 02 person was found positive, whereas 02 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 2,0,123 whereas during this phase, 19,866 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 43 active patients:

09 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
02 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
26 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 8 October to 5 PM on 9 October) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 9 October, there were 09 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 03 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them was discharged.
