38-year-old man dies due to drowning at Sildubi in Sonai

May 20: Though the water level of river Barak is gradually decreasing, yet fresh areas are now inundated in various parts of Cachar district. A case of death by drowning accident is reported at Suldubi Gaon Panchayat under Sonai Development Block and Sonai Revenue circle in Cachar. The name of the deceased is Ranjit Kahar, aged 38. He is survived by  his wife and 2 children, aged 3 years and 1 1/2 years.
