35 diary farmers from Hailakandi sent for training at Directorate of Dairy Development, Guwahati

April 26: Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi is in the news almost on a regular basis for the various positive steps taken by her in almost all facets of life of the district of which she is the official guardian. In a unique endeavour, she has sent 35 diary farmers from different parts of Hailakandi district on a first of its kind training to the Directorate of Dairy Development, Khanapara, Guwahati.

The training was arranged with support of NABARD and Dairy Department and Veterinary Department.They will be trained in milk processing, cooling and chilling, paneer making along with one day exposure visit to WAMUL, Panjabari.The Deputy Commissioner herself flagged off the bus carrying the farmers to Guwahati. Speaking during the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said, “I hope that this will encourage other milk entrepreneurs.
