3,463 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 5,600 discharged & 42 deaths registered
There are 43,298 active cases in the state
June 12: On Saturday, out of 1,61896 tests, 3,463 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,57,330. The positivity rate in the state is 2.14 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 246 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 42 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,915. The recovery rate is 89.38 percent.
It needs mention here that on Friday, 3,666 persons tested positive in Assam and 29 deaths were registered.
On Saturday, 5,600 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,08,770 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 89.38 percent. At present, there are 43,298 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 42 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 42 deceased, 07 are from Jorhat; 05 from Dibrugarh; 04 each from Sivasagar & Sonitpur; 03 each from Golaghat & Kamrup Metro; 02 each from Hailakandi, Morigaon & Nagaon; 01 each from Baksa, Biswanath, Cachar, Charaideo, Hojai, Kamrup Rural, Karbi Anglong, Nalbari, Tinsukia & Udalguri. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,915.
