33 Covid-19 patients in ICU at SMCH, 7 in ventilator & 17 under oxygen support

April 30: On Friday, 65 active Covid-19 patients were there at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). Out of them, 32 are admitted in Corona Ward, 33 positive patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 07 kept in ventilator support and 17 of them are in oxygen support. Further, during the day, 07 new Covid-19 patients were admitted at SMCH. No patients were discharged on Friday. Moreover, 02 more deaths were registered at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on Friday. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday. The two deceased are:

• Moni Rani Das (65) from Trunk Road, Police Quarters, Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 24 April after testing Covid positive. She, however, died on 30 April at 8.15 AM.
• Pappu Nath (26) from Katlicherra in Hailakandi also took admission at SMCH  on 22 April. He breathed his last at 5.15 PM on 30 April.
