3,274 found Covid +ve in Assam, 731 discharged & 4 deaths registered on Wednesday

Jan. 12: On Wednesday, out of 49,915 tests, 3,274 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,35,770. The positivity rate in the state is 6.56 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 1.138 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 04 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Nalbari & Sonitpur and Cachar. The death toll in the state stands at 6,189. The recovery rate is 96.96 percent. Also, 731 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 11,792 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 2,837 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
