31 tests Covid positive in Cachar on Monday, 151 discharged

There are 280 active cases in Cachar

Jan. 31: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 6.20 PM. As per the latest data, a total of 31 persons were found positive in the district on 31 January. Also, 151 patients were discharged (140 from home & 11 from hospital) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 280 out of which, 212 are in home isolation whereas 68 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. On Sunday, 47 persons were found positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,013 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 17 persons were found positive, whereas 14 were detected positive out of 175 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,174 whereas during this phase, 5,864 patients were discharged. This data was provided by the district health department from 12 noon of 30 January to 12 noon of 31 January, 2022. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 30 January to 5 PM on 31 January) did not witness the death of any more Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 31 January, there were 11 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 03 patients were put under ventilator support, and 06 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 03 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 03 were discharged. A total of 12 patients were detected positive in RAT at SMCH and 02 in RTPCR on Monday. Majority of them detected positive on Monday opted for home isolation.
