31 patients in ICU, 5 in ventilator support & no Covid death at SMCH on Sunday

Aug 1: The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 July to 5 PM on 1 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 August, there were 61 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 31 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 30 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 05 patients were put under ventilator support and 42 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 09 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged.
