303 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 3 deaths registered

Oct. 1: On Friday, out of 47,515 tests, 303 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,02,466. The positivity rate in the state is 0.64 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 70 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 03 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,876. The recovery rate is 98.30 percent.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 376 persons tested positive in Assam and 5 deaths were registered.

On Friday, 356 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,92,242 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam.  At present, there are 3,001 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 03 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 03 deceased, 01 each are from Darrang, Kamrup Rural & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,876.
