3 more deaths in Barak Valley during last 24 hours
Sept. 4: The coronavirus pandemic has now led to a procession of death also in Barak Valley. Since the last few days, the valley witnessed many deaths, although all of them were not certified as COVID-19 deaths. However, this also cannot be ruled out that all of them were infected with coronavirus. Those COVID positive persons who die due to comorbidities are usually not certified as ‘Covid-19’ death by the audit board. In the last 24 hours, 3 more deaths were registered in the valley, out of which, two are from Karimganj and 1 from Hailakandi. The deceased were identified as:
- Hussain Ahmed Laskar (50) from Silchar Road in Hailakandi was admitted at SMCH on 28 August. He, however, died at 9.40 PM on 3 September. His death was certified as Non-Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
- Two more persons from Karimganj succumbed to the infection. The deceased were identified as Niranjan Das (45) & Pritish Kanti Dutta (70) of Karimganj. Their deaths were certified as Covid death by the State Death Audit Board.
