3 more arrested in Betukandi dyke breach incident

July 3: In a latest development, three more persons were arrested in the Betukandi dyke breach incident. These three persons were identified as Mithu Laskar, Nazir Laskar and Ripon Laskar. It needs mention here that on 2 July, one Kabul Khan was also arrested on similar charges by Cachar Police. Taking cue from him, police arrested the trio on Sunday morning. The breach in Bethukandi dyke caused by the miscreants was one of the prime reasons for the recent devastating flood in Sichar.
