৩ এপ্রিল: করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত বদরপুরের জামালউদ্দিনের সেকেন্ড টেস্ট এখনও হয়নি৷ হওয়ার সময়ও হয়নি৷ ১৪ দিন পরই দ্বিতীয়বার পরীক্ষা করে দেখা হবে, চিকিৎসায় কতটুকু সাড়া মিলল৷ শিলচরের সাংসদ তথা বিশিষ্ট চিকিৎসক রাজদীপ রায় শুক্রবার এই তথ্য জানান৷ তিনি বলেন, এ দিনই সকালে মেডিক্যাল কলেজে গিয়ে সংশ্লিষ্টদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছেন৷ জামালউদ্দিনের খবর নিয়েছেন৷

রাজদীপ জানান, জামালউদ্দিন আগে থেকেই ব্লাড ক্যানসার ও ডায়াবেটিক রোগী৷ এর মধ্যে করোনায় সংক্রামিত হওয়ায় তাঁর প্রতি বিশেষ নজর রাখা হচ্ছে৷ করোনার পাশাপাশি ডায়াবেটিক এবং ক্যানসারেরও চিকিৎসা চলছে৷ বৃহস্পতিবার তাই ক্যানসার বিশেষজ্ঞ, পদ্মশ্রীজয়ী রবি কান্নান তাঁকে দেখে এসেছেন৷

সাংসদ রাজদীপের কথায়, জামালউদ্দিনের দুই ছেলের রিপোর্ট নেগেটিভ এসেছে৷ অন্যদেরও লালারস পরীক্ষা হচ্ছে৷ নেগেটিভদের সেকেন্ড টেস্ট হবে আগামী ৮ থেকে ১২ তারিখের মধ্যে৷ পজিটিভ সব সময়েই ধরা পড়ার ১৪ দিন পরে৷ ফলে পরে তাঁর নেগেটিভ এল কিনা, প্রশ্নটাই এই সময়ে অবান্তর বলে মন্তব্য করেন ডা. রায়৷

April 2: The 2nd test of the COVID-19 positive patient admitted at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) has not yet done. There is even no chance of doing the 2nd test as of now. It’s only after 14 days that his 2nd test will be done to ascertain the effectiveness of the ongoing treatment. This was informed by MP Silchar and eminent physician Dr. Rajdeep Roy on Friday. He said, “I personally went to SMCH today morning and had a detailed talk with the doctors. I have even enquired about the COVID-19 patient admitted there.

Dr. Roy informed that the COVID-19 positive patient undergoing treatment at SMCH is already afflicted by cancer and diabetes. As now he has been infected with coronavirus, so the doctors there are taking extra care of him. Apart from corona, he is also being treated for cancer and diabetes. He was even examined by renowned oncologist Padma Shri Dr. ravi kannan on Thursday.

Dr. Roy also reiterated that the two sons of the COVID-19 positive tested negative. The ten family members of the person are also being tested. Dr. Roy said, “The two sons of the person will again be tested in between 8 to 12 April. This is the protocol and we will have to follow it. Those tested positive will have to be tested for the 2nd time only after 14 days. So at this moment the question of getting negative report of the corona affected man at SMCH does not arise.”
