2nd dose of Covaxin for 18 plus to be given in Karimganj on 14 June

June 13: The shortage of Covaxin has become a major cause of concern for many in Karimganj district as their date for the 2nd dose is due. Putting an end to the anxiety of those in the age group of 18 plus, Karimganj District Administration in a press release on 13 May informed that the 2nd dose of Covaxin will be administered to beneficiaries who are 18 plus on 14 June, 2021. However, the 2nd dose of Covaxin will be given to those who have taken their 1st dose on 7 May. It was further stated that the 2nd dose will be given at the same centres where the beneficiaries got their first jab. Beneficiaries must bring along their 1st vaccination certificate and any identity card.

The Press Release issued by DIPR, Karimganj informed that the beneficiaries are to take the 2nd dose of Covaxin on 14 June from 9 AM to 1 PM in the designated vaccination centres under the Karimganj Unit of District Health Department. Meanwhile, the district health department also informed that the vaccination centre at Sri Nimbark Ashram in Karimganj town has been shifted to Banipath LP School, Subhas Nagar.

Here is the message given by the Karimganj Health Department to the beneficiaries:

“18+ Beneficiaries are requested to take their 2nd dose of Covaxin on 14.06.21 (Monday) from 9AM to 1PM at the same centre in Kxj Urban where they took the 1st Dose on 07.05.21. Please bring the certificate of 1st Dose while coming for 2nd Dose. **Note- Vaccination Centre of Sree Nimbark Ashram Campus has been shifted to Subash Banipith L.P School, Subash Nagar.”
