2nd batch of COVID-19 vaccine for Assam arrives in Guwahati

Jan. 13: The second batch of coronavirus vaccine for Assam and Meghalaya has arrived in Guwahati on Wednesday. INDIGO flight no 6E-6538 carrying the consignment took off from Hyderabad on Wednesday morning and reached Guwahati airport. The consignment contained 3 boxes, weighing over 78 kg. The consignment carrying 12,000 doses of indigenously developed ‘Covaxin’ and shipped by Bharat Biotech was handed over to state government officials after its arrival in Guwahati.

On Tuesday, the first batch of coronavirus vaccine for Assam and Meghalaya has arrived in Guwahati from Pune in a SpiceJet flight. The consignment weighing over 700 kilogram comprised 20 boxes containing 12 thousand doses each.
