2,861 found Covid +ve in Assam, 6002 discharged & 21 deaths registered on Friday

Jan. 28: On Friday, out of 41,134 tests, 3,677 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,11,391. The positivity rate in the state is 6.96 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 599 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 21 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,400. The recovery rate is 94.41 percent. Also, 6,002 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 32,013 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 3,677 persons tested positive in Assam and 20 deaths were registered.
