2,837 found Covid +ve in Assam 449 discharged & 2 deaths registered on Tuesday

Jan. 11: On Tuesday, out of 49,840 tests, 2,837 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,31,776. The positivity rate in the state is 5.69 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 870 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 02 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Nalbari & Sonitpur. The death toll in the state stands at 6,185. The recovery rate is 97.34 percent. Also, 449 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 9,253 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 2,198 persons tested positive in Assam and 02 deaths were registered.
