273 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Saturday, 345 discharged & 5 death registered

Oct. 9: On Saturday, out of 43,625 tests, 318 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,04,809. The positivity rate in the state is 0.63 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 109 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 05 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,921. The recovery rate is 98.35 percent.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 318 persons tested positive in Assam and 05 death was registered.

On Saturday, 345 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,94,851 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam.  At present, there are 2,690 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 05 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 05 deceased, 01 each are from from Golaghat, Darrang, Kamrup Metro, Sivasagar & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,921.
