2,728 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Wednesday, 3,802 discharged & 30 deaths registered
There are 30,524 active cases in the state
June 23: On Wednesday, out of 1,66,227 tests, 2,728 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,90,907. The positivity rate in the state is 1.64 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 187 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 30 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,310. The recovery rate is 92.63 percent.
It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 2,728 persons tested positive in Assam and 37 deaths were registered.
On Wednesday, 3,802 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,54,726 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 92.63 percent. At present, there are 30,524 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 30 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 30 deceased, 04 each are from Sonitpur; 05 from Nagaon; 03 each from Cachar & Kamrup Metro; 02 from Nalbari; 01 each from Baksa, Biswanath, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Kamrup Rural, Karimganj, Morigaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,310.
