26th Foundation Day of Assam University on 21 January

January 20: Assam University, Silchar is all geared up to celebrate its 26th Foundation Day on 21 January, 2019. The Central University was established by an Act of Parliament of 1989. In this regard, a host of activities has been undertaken by the University.

The Foundation Day Lecture will be delivered by Prof. Arun Kumar Pujari, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Rajasthan. Parimal Suklabaidya, Minister of Environment & Forests, Fisheries, Excise will be present as the Guest of Honour whereas Former Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha will be the special guest of the occasion. This was informed by Dr. Sanjib Bhattacharjee, Registrar of Assam University, Silchar.
