2,689 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 3,394 discharged & 42 deaths registered
There are 25,043 active cases in the state
June 28: On Monday, out of 1,33,543 tests, 2,689 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,03,333. The positivity rate in the state is 2.01 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 164 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 42 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,482. The recovery rate is 93.87 percent.
It needs mention here that on Sunday, 1,523 persons tested positive in Assam and 37 deaths were registered.
On Monday, 3,394 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,72,461 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 93.87 percent. At present, there are 25,043 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 42 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 42 deceased, 06 are from Sonitpur; 04 from Kamrup Metro; 03 each from Jorhat, Lakhimpur & Nagaon; 02 each from Baksa, Barpeta, Goalpara, Hojai, Kamrup Rural & Tinsukia; 01 each from Biswanath, Cachar, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Karbianglong, Karimganj, Morigaon, Nalbari & Sivasagar. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,482.
