261 found Covid +ve in Assam on Tuesday, active cases 3,754 in the state

Aug 9: On Tuesday, out of 7,195 tests, 261 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,42,106. The positivity rate in the state is 3,63 percent. Out of the 261 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (22), Dhemaji (21), Lakhimpur (20), Cachar (19) and Sivasagar (19).

Further, on Tuesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,666. The recovery rate is 98.41 percent. 388 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,30,330 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 3,754 active Covid patients in the state. On Monday, 304 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
