2476 patients discharged in Assam on Friday

August 21: On Friday, 2476 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 65,596 patients got cured and subsequently discharged in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2476 patients discharged today For the third consecutive day, we have more than 2K discharges. Absolutely brilliant job by medical team.”

Also, 1856 persons tested COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus cases went upto 87,908, out of which, 24558 are active. Further, 6 deaths were registered in Assam on Friday. With this, the death tally of the state has now gone upto 227.
