24000 Yaba tablets seized, one arrested in Jirighat

way2barak, February 22: Based on a credible intelligence, today on 22.02.25 in the evening hours Cachar Police launched a special operation against the illegal transportation of narcotics substances at Haokip Punji under the jurisdiction of Jirighat Police Station . During the operation Police team apprehended one person namely Chungkam Lenthang, (44 yrs) Muktakhal Village, Gulatthal, Dist: Tamenglon, Manipur and recovered 24000 suspected YABA tablets concealed in a plastic bag.

Numal Mahatta SP Cachar informs that the  suspected narcotics substance has been seized in presence of independent witnesses following all formalities. The price of the narcotics substance in the black market is about 7.20 lakhs. Further legal action is being initiated.
