2372 COVID cases detected in Assam on Thursday, state tally 52,817

August 6: On Thursday, 2372 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally has gone upto 52,817, out of which 16,796 are active cases. The state further witnessed 6 more deaths due to COVID-19. They were identified as Asab Uddin (50) & Sentulal Saha (70) of Karimganj,  Manuranjan Paul (63) of Dibrugarh, Ram Surat Gowala (77) of Tinsukia and  Dhiren Kalita (55) of Kamrup Metro. With this, the death tally of Assam has now reached 126.
